Book Shops

I've been thinking a lot over the past couple of days about book shops and although I am a lover of Waterstones as they just have so many lovely books, I don't think small independent book shops get enough recognition. They are not on every high street like Waterstones and WH Smith so they rely on local people finding them, being told about them or local advertising. I have recently been going to Waterstones for my books rather than online stores like Amazon as I along with every other book lover am worried about bookshops going out of business due to not being able to compete with the cheap prices Amazon can offer. Imagine a world without a book shop?! But what about these little book shops that nobody knows about? If a huge company like Waterstones can be affected by the online market, how can these shops stand any chance of surviving. So this being said I am going to try my best to find small/ independent, local bookshops and buy my books from there. Lets all support the smaller bookshops in our cities and help keep real, physical book shops alive!

New Review!

I was honored when Julie McDowall sent me a copy of her book for an honest review. It is a fun short story that I would definitely recommend, especially if you don't have time for 200+ page books :) Here is my review!
